Our wireless really is wireless.
When you look closely at the wireless solutions implemented by some in the industry today you will find that they're not really truly and totally wireless. Sure parts of the system are wireless, such the short run from the nearest field instrument to the Fieldbus, but what about down long corridors, around hidden corners, to the farthest reaches of the plant and even to offsite locations. We offer an open, scalable architecture.
Unlike some providers who have rushed into the wireless data acquisition market in the past several years, FEDD has taken the time to develop an open architecture that really works. It has been built from the ground up with the most complex and harshest manufacturing environments in mind. Our scalable architecture does not have the built-in limitations that our competitors face so your wireless solution won't be headed for early obsolescence.
We don't insist that customers use our field instrumentation.
Even though we believe our single point sensors outperform anything on the market today, we don't force our customers to use them. If owner/operators want to keep their existing instrumentation, we can still provide an integrated wireless solution. Additionally, the true value in our wireless offering lies with products far more advanced than single point sensors. For example, our serial interface using Modbus RTU or ASCII Protocol handles 250 field instruments each. Our control room interface devices can also be programmed to communicate with DCS using output data in analog or digital form.
We design and implement flexible data integration options.
We understand that different areas of your plant may wish to receive only the data that pertains to their operations. FEDD has built in this flexibility to its wireless architecture and allows various data streams to be routed to various control units. And yes, we mean from anywhere in the plant.
